Vic: Couple threatened with firearms and crossbow in burglary

Three men wearing balaclavas and armed with firearms and a crossbow have threatened
a couple in their home south east of Melbourne.

The man and woman had dozed off in front of the television when they were awoken by
the burglars, who climbed in through the lounge room window about 3 am (AEDT).

Police say the couple were threatened and tied up before the men ransacked the home,
making off with cash and jewellery.

The man needed treatment for minor injuries to his face after the burglary, but the
couple were otherwise unharmed.
